Why Palmetto Prep?

checkPalmetto Prep's Pre-School was conceived, designed, built, and has been led as a school for very young children, not a childcare center.
There is a huge difference between a childcare facility and a school providing premier care. Being a school, Palmetto Prep's primary focus is the perpetuation of a strong learning culture. Research says children are most able to assimilate knowledge at this age, more so than at any other time in their lives.

checkThe school's primary objective is to assist and teach the children to learn how to learn and to promote a love of learning at an age when it counts the most!
Palmetto Prep's Pre-School provides this learning environment by combining the finest teachers, an unparalleled enrichment program, and a world-class curricula bolstered by the very tight relationship with Palmetto Prep's Primary School. This is the time for your child to build a strong learning foundation, and this opportunity should be seized. In the entire area, this opportunity for your child exists only at Palmetto Prep.

checkOur teachers are the most experienced and qualified in the Upstate.
The bond that is created between the teacher/parent/child is unparalleled. Our teachers are empowered to teach, and the low ratios (children:teacher) allow individualization.

checkEnrichment classes are taught by a certified Art teacher, and specialized Music and Spanish teachers.
The enrichment teachers' sole focus is on teaching that particular subject - a true appreciation class focusing on technique, style, and history. Many educators believe that these subjects are the catalysts to a child "learning how to learn". This approach is extremely different from the traditional model where one teacher wears multiple hats, allowing the primary teacher to focus solely on the classroom curricula.

checkRobust curricula and tight integration between the Pre-School and Primary School, a true collaborative/team approach, enhance your child's chances of success - a truly unique aspect.
Palmetto Prep Primary School's 2009 Iowa Test of Basic Skills' (ITBS) scores, which were in the top 1% in the nation, speak volumes to the benefits of Palmetto Prep's approach. The ITBS are a series of nationally accepted standardized achievement tests. Palmetto Prep administers the higher of the two levels.

checkA community that fosters a lifelong love of learning and allows the teachers to focus on each child's individual development.
