native of Marysville, MI, Jenelle Bixler
attained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Special Education with
a minor in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University
in December of 2007. She has continued her education through Grand
Valley to pursue a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. In
the future, she would like to pursue a second Masters in Autism. Ms.
Jenelle has experience working with children ranging from preschool
to sixth grade. She has always had a love for teaching young children
and is very excited to be a part of the Palmetto Prep team. She currently
resides in Moore, SC with her husband John and two newly adopted dogs.
In her spare time, Ms. Jenelle loves reading, outdoor activities,
traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Ginger Bradley

Bradley, a native of Greensboro, GA, moved to Greenville
in the fall of 2003 to attend Furman University. She graduated
from Furman in the spring of 2007 with a BA in Psychology along with
a concentration of coursework in Spanish. While at Furman, Ginger
tutored several ESOL students in Greenville County Elementary Schools.
She also served as a counselor for Camp Symonette, a summer camp for
children located in the Bahamas. In her free time, Ginger enjoys
traveling, playing tennis, swing dancing, and spending time with family
and friends.

Dawn Burns is a native of Greenville and earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Clemson University. She comes to us from Anderson County School District 1 where she taught Fourth Grade. Mrs. Burns has also worked with University Instructors, a company based out of Charleston, S.C. In this role, she assisted Title 1 schools in the Charleston area in reading and math curriculum implementation. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, reading, gardening and traveling.

Diane and her husband now reside in Greenville, SC. Dianne enjoys

Cianfarano was raised in the Upstate and has always had
a love for the arts. She received a BA in Visual Art from Lander University
in Greenwood, SC and is certified in Art Education. While in college
she was awarded the Mary Chisholm Excellence in Art Education Award.
Mrs. Cianfarano taught art for two years at New Prospect Elementary
School in Spartanburg and continues to create and explore art on her
own. She has held numerous personal art shows and has sold several
pieces in the Charleston area. She loves working with children and
sharing her passion for the arts. Corey currently lives in Simpsonville
with her husband, David, and their daughters, Clara and Ava, and their son, Max.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Lindsey Crosby attended University of Southern Mississippi after completing high school. After a semester at USM, Lindsey moved to Orlando to participate in an internship for the Walt Disney World College Internship Program. While in Orlando she worked as a nanny for a couple families and also began working for Starbucks, a company she was with until December 2009. After two years in Florida, Lindsey moved to South Carolina to be closer to her family and complete her college education. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from USC Upstate. She enjoys reading, cooking, and going hiking and running with her husband.

assisting pre-kindergarten and special needs children at Salmon River
Central School. She relocated to Greenville in 1999 and continued
down the Early Childhood path as an infant room teacher at a local

Lisa Henderson lived the first ten years of her life in The Gambia, West Africa. Lisa then moved to Fort Washington, PA, right outside of Philadelphia. She holds a Bachelor of Art's Degree in Ceramics from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. Lisa moved to Greenville in August of 2008 and is excited about exploring the upstate of South Carolina. She has worked with children in Sunday school programs, as a summer camp art teacher, and in overseas childcare programs in Kazakstan and Iceland. She loves to travel, scuba dive, and visit art museums.

Jesse Martini is a native of Pensacola, Florida and relocated to Greenville in 2006. She holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Primary Education from the University of West Florida. Her undergraduate studies include a double minor in Special Education and Art Education. Mrs. Martini is certified with both the South Carolina and Florida Departments of Education. Jesse has studied art integration extensively through the Peace Center's IDEA program. She began teaching first grade in 2002 and enjoys integrating the arts into the core curriculum. When she is not teaching, she enjoys painting, gardening, hiking, live music, and of course spending time with her husband Christian and their son Isaac. Christian School in 2002. She received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal
Performance from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC.
She then moved back to the Upstate where she married her husband,
Ryan, in September of 2006. Allison has worked as a nanny for several
Charlotte and Greenville area families during her high school and
college careers. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their
spoiled cat, Harry, as well as singing at Horizon Church and performing
original compositions at various area open mic nights. In her spare

She has participated in many professional development opportunities including Educator’s Space Camp, Roper Mountain Science Center’s P.L.U.S. Institute, and the Upstate Writing Project. Dorothy Self has lived all over the United States, including: Georgia, California, Florida, and now South Carolina. She is a graduate of Furman with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Education. Mrs. Self is certified by the South Carolina Department of Education. She is a graduate of the Peace Center's Summer Instutute for Arts Integration in the Curriculum, and has also been intensively trained through the Upstate Writing Project. A featured guest Speaker at the 2007 South Carolina Council for Exceptional Children Conference, Mrs. Self has been invited to speak at various schools in South Carolina about behavior management. She has recently been named to the selection committee for Bridges to a Brighter Future, an educational program whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty and low-educational attainment for low-income students. In her spare time, she serves on the Furman Annual Giving Council, the Christ Church Missions and Outreach Team, and enjoys spending time with her husband, Thomas.

degree in Music Therapy with a double major in Psychology from Charleston
Southern University. Before relocating to the Upstate in 1998, she
worked in the Chattanooga public school system. For several years,
she worked for Greenville County as an Early Interventionist, and
taught children in an Applied Behavioral Analysis program while running
a Music Therapy private practice. Mrs. Taylor was a stay at home mom
for five years during which she ran a home based business and volunteered
in her childrens school. Amy lives in Simpsonville with her
husband, Gary, their two children, Tristan and Sydney, and their dog,
Rori. They enjoy spending time at the beach, hiking, swimming and
going to Disney World.
