As a
new parent, we were, of course, nervous the first day we left our daughter
in someone else's care but that feeling only lasted a moment in time.
Elena is welcomed with loving arms, big smiles, and an joyous, "Elena's
here!" each morning when we take her to school. We know
she's so loved and we can tell she's very happy at Palmetto Prep.
She just lights up to be there and that's all a parent can ask for.

As you know, we moved
here from Denver and had the opportunity to have Ashton in Creme de
la Creme. Once we decided to move to Greenville we started on
a quest to find the same level of quality in a day care and
much to my excitement we found Palmetto Prep on-line. I wanted
to have the same level of attention to detail, both in the facility
and in Ashton's care and learning as what we had experienced.
I have found that Palmetto Prep has far exceeded my expectations of
a "day care." It is a place where you drop off your
child knowing that he is well taken care of, both from a physical
side and from an emotional and intellectual way. I was nervous
about a new day care after having Ashton in the same one from four
months until almost two! You get comfortable with the teachers,
curriculum and overall staff. I have to say, my transition into
being comfortable has been very easy with Palmetto Prep. Everyone
knows Ashton and I know he is in great hands. My sister came
with me the first day when we officially arrived in Greenville, and
was amazed at the center. I just know that I don't have to worry
about Ashton during the day, and we are blessed to have such a great
'day care'! I love all the extras that are offered, like being
able to pick up dinner, PARENTS' NIGHT, babysitters that I know!
The extra touches are definitely something we didn't have previously,
and we truly love. We are very happy with everything Palmetto
Prep offers.

that I love about Palmetto Prep. I would have to say that the
two things (I can't think of one) I am most pleased with is
1)how happy Nicholas is and 2)how much he is learning. He absolutely
loves going to school. The staff is great, very professional
and I like how most seem to know Nicholas's name and who he is.
His teachers have all been great! We were very nervous when
he started school since he had never been in school or daycare before
but you all made it easy for him!!!

I don't know how I could
sum up in one sentence how I feel about Palmetto Prep. I guess
the biggest reason coming from a parent who has a child with all types
of food allergies, is PEACE. I know that when I drop James off
in the morning he will be cared for just like if he were at home.

2 what can you do!!!!! Our favorite part of Palmetto Prep is Jaydn not
being stuck in the same room all day. Traveling throughout the
school during the day to various classes seems to give her
a sense of freedom & exploration. A chance to change
up her surroundings. It also serves as a great way for
her to really move her body & stretch her legs
to help expel some extra energy. Of course having the best

Obviously the building/facility
itself is fantastic, but we have been most pleased with the teachers
and how they have connected with our girls. Mia absolutely loved
Miss Gwenn and Miss Jenn last year and we can already tell that Miss
Metcalf is going to be a great teacher as well. Miss Theresa
has been fabulous with our girls as have Miss Stacy and Edie.
Alaina has taken a liking to Miss Ronasha also. We have been sad to
see many good people leave recently but turnover is a reality everywhere.
We have had many PP staff in our homes since the girls have been enrolled
there to babysit and we tell Mia days before hand when someone is
coming and she gets very excited to show off her latest favorite toy
or song, etc. It gives us great peace of mind to know that we
have great people available to help us, especially with both Carol
and I being "transplants" to the area without immediate
family nearby.

I love the way the Palmetto
Prep staff treats both parents and children. On the parent side, the
teacher’s update me everyday on my child’s progress and
accomplishments. But beyond that, they take genuine pleasure in telling
me about the funny and cute things that she does throughout the morning
- which is priceless to me since I am not there to see for myself.
On the child side, all of the children are treated with respect and
affection by every single member of the staff. And it’s this
affection - with the valuable by-product of trust - which creates
a much more productive and healthy learning environment for not only

Boy, that's a tough
question. There are a lot of reasons why Steve and I picked
Palmetto Prep. Instead of picking just one, I listed them below:
1) Quality Teachers - we were very impressed to find teachers
who were dedicated to learning about child care. Most have early
childhood education degrees or certifications. Most have extensive
experience. All seem to be patient, kind, and open to new ideas.
2) "Set" Development Curriculum - we were impressed
to see that Palmetto Prep continues to work on a variety of developmental
skills. Once a child masters one skill, the teachers are stressing
further development by including 'more advanced' activities.
We didn't see this attention as much in other day cares.
3) Various Infant Rooms - Palmetto Prep understands the
vast difference between a 3 month / 6 month / and a 12 month baby.
We loved the idea of separating these children at this stage of development.
Palmetto Prep was the only day care that we saw do this.
4) Provided Lunches and Snacks - Although this wasn't
a main concern of ours when shopping around for day cares, it has
proven to be a strong "plus." For the most part, Palmetto
Prep's provided lunches are nutritious, and certainly convenient!
I have become spoiled not having to worry about packing food for the
day.
5) Daily Reports - My husband and I pay close attention
to the daily reports that the teachers provide. Not only does
it give us important information about what our child needs, it makes
us feel a little more involved in our child's everyday life while
we are at work.
There are many other aspects that we enjoy about Palmetto Prep, but
I thought this short list might be able to provide something that
you could use. (At least give you feedback on how well you're
doing.)

environment for our toddler) is the amenities it provides for working
parents. In addition to the 12 hour day, they also provide on-site
amenities like take-home meals, haircuts, speech therapy and even

BUT, the one thing that stands out for us and what we consider
as the utmost importance, is communication. We love the way we are
communicated to as parents about the school through e-mails, newsletters,
and the website and then about our child personally and her class
through the everyday "report" card and most of all, the
open communications with the teachers and staff.
