Palmetto Prep will cease operations June 25, 2010. Enrollments lost in the Spring of 2009 due to the economic downturn have not been recovered. The school is not sustainable at current and projected enrollment levels.
This is a great disappointment to the children and parents who sought an environment of education excellence. The closing is devastating to the dedicated staff who committed themselves to providing the environment of excellence. The outstanding reputation of the school is a testament to the successful efforts of the staff and the commitment of the children and parents.
Contact names and numbers for neighboring education facilities will be provided. Staff at those facilities will be available during the week to arrange for student applications and to interview Palmetto Prep staff.
Palmetto Prep staff will be available through July 15 to provide access to school records and attend to parents' requests. An announcement will be made concerning how records can be accessed after July 15.
